Aims!

Hello again everybody!

Aside from just reviewing the films, i'm hoping to look at some topics which I have enjoyed looking into and learning about:- 

• Old Hollywood.
• Individual directors.
• Famous directing styles.
• Equality in film - how are women and minorities represented?
• Overused film tropes and stereotypes
• Influences through the medium of film, still used and copied today.
• Individual actors who have had a huge impact on the film industry.
• Society's reaction to certain films and how their attitudes to these films deemed originally "shocking" have changed over time.
• Films which have had such a strong influence that they are as well loved today as they were when they were first released!
• Are film makers losing originality therefore relying on constant remakes?
• Is Hollywood an issue. Does it limit the creative side of film and repress independent film ideas?
• Is there an intrinsic problem with the film industry? Is it narcissistic, shallow, obsessed by money and plagued by fame (vacuous celebrity culture)?
• Is "film" and the very affluent industry really necessary when there are people still struggling for basics to survive?

First Ever Blog!

Hi everybody! :)

Okay, so this is my first ever blog, nervous and excited to be finally starting this. I've been meaning to start up a blog and write for a very long time!
Previously the lack of inspiration has often stopped me from doing this and I end up stopping halfway through. I hope this is going to change.
I have been a huge film/music fan for as long as I can remember and sharing ideas, discussing and discovering new films with people is all part of the joy of reviewing them. I'd love any constructive criticism, it would be really appreciated!
